"Being a nerd pays off sometimes."

Well, it certainly paid off for Ken Jennings.  He won 74 straight games on Jeopardy, and won over 2 million dollars.  He also has the record for most money won in one day- $75,000.  He has a board game out, and is writing a book as well.

The 25 year old singer was just a special education teacher until he tried out for American Idol.  He looked like a nerd but went on to have number one singles and albums and is considered by many to be the most successful singer to come off American Idol.

Neville is a character from the Harry Potter books.  The picture is actually of Matthew Lewis, the guy that plays Neville in the movies.  Neville is the class nerd, and until his fifth year at Hogwarts, we keep wondering why he's been sorted into Gryffindor. He is very forgetful and clumsy. By the end of his fifth year, Neville's courage and self-esteem both increase tremendously. Neville is part of the D.A. (Dumbledore's Army), and he learns a lot of spells from Harry to help defend himself against dark magic.
